Class/Student Etiquette

-Arrive on time for your class. Initial exercises are your warm-up. These are important to avoid injury.

- Inform the instructor at the beginning of class if you have to leave early.

-Inform the instructor at the beginning of class if you have an injury that might affect your performance in class.

-Keep change area, lobby and washrooms clean and tidy.

Girls

-Creative Dance, Pre-Ballet and Ballet I - Pink tank bodysuit, ballet pink tights and pink leather ballet slippers.

-Ballet II and up - Black tank bodysuit, ballet pink tights, pink leather ballet slippers.

-Ballet III & up can wear practice skirts.

Adult classes - bodysuit, ballet pink tights, skirt or shorts OR tight fitting leggings or pants and a top. Pink ballet slippers.

All classes - no jewelry and no baggy sweaters

Boys

All levels - black dance pants, white t-shirt, black ballet slippers with thin socks.

About Nancy

Nancy is a certified instructor with over 30 years teaching experience. She has run the School in Kemptville since 1999. She teaches at Les Petits Ballets in Ottawa. Competitve gymnasts, skaters, ballroom dancers and dancers of other genres benefit from her ballet instruction. Nancy attends and participates in various workshops through the Canadian Dance Teachers' Association and through the National Ballet School.

At the School dancers of all ages gain grace, poise, self-confidence and flexibility. They benefit from the muscle toning, fitness and self-discipline that ballet offers.

The main focus of the School is to teach proper technique and help students to dance to their full potential in a friendly yet professional manner.

Nancy is available for private coachings.

Professional Memberships include:

-Canadian Dance Teachers' Association (CDTA)

-Canadian Dancesport Federation (CDF)

-National Coaching Certificate Program (NCCP) Level II
